Research and Development

The Research and Development (R&D) Center is established to promote research and innovation among faculty members and students. The center focuses on identifying emerging research areas and developing projects that lead to publications in National and International journals and conferences. It encourages collaborative and interdisciplinary research among various departments of Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology to explore advanced technologies.

The R&D Center also motivates faculty members and students to undertake research in frontier areas of engineering, technology, science, humanities, and multidisciplinary fields. It enhances the research capabilities of budding technocrats by encouraging participation in conferences, seminars, workshops, and project competitions.

Objectives of R & D Cell

  • To develop new tools and techniques for solving problems, with special emphasis on rural and socially relevant issues.
  • To design innovative methodologies in various fields of Engineering and Technology.
  • To promote the acquisition of new scientific knowledge through research activities.
  • To create an innovation-friendly environment for sustainable and long-term development.
  • To organize periodic interactive sessions with entrepreneurs and industrial experts.
  • To enhance skill development training and create self-employment opportunities.
  • To ensure effective management and guidance for Ph.D. programs.

Functionalities of Research & Development Cell

The following are the major functions and responsibilities of the Research & Development (R&D) Cell:

  • To create awareness and provide opportunities for research and development among faculty members and students.
  • To promote a research-oriented environment in every department.
  • To identify potential research areas in various disciplines of Engineering and Technology.
  • To form faculty research groups based on their areas of specialization.
  • To prepare and submit research proposals to funding agencies such as All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), University Grants Commission(UGC), Department of Science and Technology(DST), and Defense Research and Development Organization(DRDO) for obtaining funded projects.
  • To encourage interdisciplinary and collaborative research within the institution and with external organizations.
