Objectives of Anti-Ragging Cell – AIT Chikkamagaluru

1. To prevent and prohibit ragging in all forms within the campus and hostel premises.
2. To create awareness among students and parents regarding anti-ragging regulations and punishments.
3. To promote discipline, mutual respect, and healthy interaction among students.
4. To ensure a safe and secure environment for newly admitted students.
5. To encourage students to report ragging incidents without fear.
6. To ensure strict compliance with UGC Anti-Ragging Regulations, 2009.

Functions of Anti-Ragging Cell – AIT Chikkamagaluru

1. To monitor and prevent ragging activities within the institution.
2. To organize awareness programmes, orientation sessions, and counselling activities on anti-ragging measures.
3. To publicize anti-ragging guidelines, helpline numbers, and complaint procedures.
4. To receive complaints related to ragging and ensure prompt inquiry and action.
5. To conduct regular inspections in hostels and vulnerable locations on campus.
6. To coordinate with Anti-Ragging Committee, Anti-Ragging Squad, Hostel Wardens, faculty members, and local authorities.
7. To maintain records of complaints, inquiries, and action taken reports.
8. To ensure submission of anti-ragging undertakings by students and parents during admission.
