About Us

Overview

Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology (AIT) was established in the year 1980 at Chikkamagaluru,  with the blessings of revered Jagadguru Padmabhushana Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji, pontiff, of Sri Adichunchanagiri Maha Samsthana Math.

The Institute has highly qualified and experienced faculty with a reputation in their areas of specialization, well-equipped laboratories, seminar halls with projectors, sufficient books and periodicals in the library, hygienic canteen facility with hostels for both girls and boys, a huge amphitheater for cultural exposure and fleet of buses for transportation.

The Institute is providing good training for students to excel in academics as well as in industry requirements and aims towards 100% placements to give a better future for students.

Chikmagalur city is 20 km from the world-famous sculpture Belur Temple. The renowned temple of Sringeri Sharadamba and Sri Shankaracharya Mutt is just 100 km away. Spread out over 65 acres of land with green surroundings and picturesque hillocks, the college has a conducive atmosphere for education. The weather is salubrious and pleasant throughout the year.

The mission of AIT to become a Centre of Excellence aim to galvanize a critical mass of researchers, transcending Faculty boundaries to support a multidisciplinary theme. The Institute’s networks of Excellence aim to establish and grow connections around an important multidisciplinary area that is being explored at an earlier stage than the centers.
