National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a Tri-Service Organisation comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. It is the organisation which is regulated under the Ministry of Defence. It came into force in 1948 with a view to impart the rudimentary skills and training in handling weapons of different types and make them physically tough such that they could face hardship easily. It acts as the body to provide the basic military training that inculcates the feeling of comradeship, courage, honesty and, above all, patriotism.
NCC Unit in AIT established & NCC activities started from the Academic Year 2023-2024 for all the B.E Students, Under 15 Karnataka Battalion NCC Hassan. With total allotment of 40 Senior Wing (SD/SW) Open Category Company (Coy) under Self Finance Scheme (SFS)
Our objective is to develop disciplined, skilled, and motivated young individuals who can contribute effectively to the nation in every sphere of life. We encourage cadets to join the armed forces and serve the country with dedication and patriotism. Equal opportunities are provided to both boys and girls to participate in NCC and engage in its wide range of activities. These activities include regular parades, camps, community development initiatives, social service programmes, and training to assist civil defence authorities during emergencies such as war situations, natural disasters, rescue operations, and traffic management.
